A modern, responsive website for the ACI Ottawa Student Chapter, connecting civil engineering students with concrete research, industry, events, competitions, and professional development opportunities.
The problem
The ACI Ottawa Student Chapter, serving students at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University, needed a digital home for its events, programmes, research and member resources.
My role
Designed and developed the platform and its content architecture, and took it through deployment: hosting, domain connectivity, email delivery and the content management setup the chapter runs it on.
The work
Designed and developed a modern, professional web platform for the ACI Ottawa Student Chapter, affiliated with the American Concrete Institute and serving students at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University.
The website was built to establish a strong digital presence for the chapter while making its activities, programs, events, achievements, leadership, resources, and opportunities easy to discover and navigate.
The platform features a structured content experience covering chapter information, upcoming events, workshops, seminars, competitions, research and innovation, projects, achievements, news, resources, galleries, leadership, members, alumni, membership benefits, partners, and contact information.
The project focused heavily on responsive design, modern UI/UX, accessibility, mobile usability, performance, and a professional engineering-oriented visual identity. The website was also configured and supported for production deployment, hosting, domain connectivity, email delivery, and ongoing content management.
