TopMera Online Shopping
A multi-service e-commerce and delivery platform for Ethiopia, combining online shopping, pharmacy, grocery, and parcel delivery with flexible fulfillment and secure payment options.
The problem
Online shopping in Ethiopia was split across single-category services. Customers had no one place to buy electronics, fashion, groceries and healthcare, and no way to choose between delivery and pickup.
My role
Developed the customer application and its commerce workflows: product discovery, cart, ordering, payment, fulfillment and returns, against the Laravel API that backs the platform.
The work
Developed Topmera, a comprehensive mobile commerce platform designed to provide a convenient digital shopping experience for customers across Ethiopia.
The application brings multiple commerce and delivery services together in a single platform, allowing users to discover and purchase products across categories including electronics, fashion, groceries, healthcare, and everyday essentials.
Topmera is designed around a complete e-commerce journey, from product discovery and shopping to payment, fulfillment, delivery, pickup, and returns. The platform supports a wide merchant ecosystem and provides customers with flexible fulfillment options including same-day delivery, next-day delivery, scheduled delivery, and pickup.
The application also supports multiple payment methods, including cash on delivery, mobile money, and credit/debit cards, providing flexibility for different customer preferences and payment environments.
Beyond traditional online shopping, the platform incorporates pharmacy, grocery, and parcel-delivery services, positioning Topmera as a broader digital commerce and logistics ecosystem rather than a conventional single-category marketplace.
The application was developed with a focus on mobile-first UX, intuitive navigation, scalable commerce workflows, secure data transmission, and a seamless customer experience across shopping and delivery operations.
